Law of obedience - finding the fullness of joy

*The shortest distance between you and the life you want is total obedience to Christ.

John 15:10-11,
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as i have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

*sin always has a price, and the price is in direct proportion to the sin.

Life is lived infront of a two-way mirror. God can see us, but we can't see Him.

What happens when we disobey God?
->you cannot break the laws of God. You can only break yourself against His laws when you ignore or violate them.

->Sin always has a price, and the price is in direct proportion to the sin. Some sins have a greater consequence than others.

What is the price of disobedience?
The price of disobedience comes in 2 forms.
(i) it comes in the natural cause-and-effect consequences of our actions.
(ii) divine dicipline, commensurate with the sin.

Why does God require obedience from us?
-> everything God asks of us, He does so because He wants to give something good to us and/or keep us from harm.

What is the result of obefience?
-> the Scripture promise joy for obedience.
->joy is the consequences of obedience.

OBEDIENCE IS NOT AS HARD IF WE BECOME PERSUADED THAT IT IS NOT ONLY FOR GOD'S GLORY BUT ALSO FOR OUR GOOD.

Great blessing come to the person who is scrupulously obedient to the Scriptures, who doesn't ask, 'how much can I get away with?', but rather, 'how obedient can I be?'.

If you believe obedience is the shortest way/distance between you and the life you want, you will obey. When you disobey, it is bwcause there has been a breakdown of your faith.
